Healthcare marketing for clinics, specialists and behavioral health practices

We help practices fill the appointments that matter most. SEO and Google Ads bring in new patients, your website makes booking easy, and genuine reviews build trust. Tracking shows which channel brought each booked patient, without sending patient data to ad platforms.

Practice types

Three kinds of practice, three different plans

A walk-in clinic, a spine specialist and a therapy group need different things from marketing. This is how our plan changes for each.

Clinics & multi-location groups

Primary care, urgent care, family medicine and groups with several sites

What growth means
Steady new-patient flow at every location, and fewer empty slots.
How patients find you
Near-me and map searches on a phone, often for same-day care.
What we build first
A Business Profile and location page for each site, Google Ads by location, and call tracking by location.
Watch out for
Listings that differ between locations, and calls nobody answers at peak times.
What we report
Booked new-patient appointments by location.
Ask about a plan for clinics

Specialist practices

Orthopedics, dermatology, cardiology, pain management, ENT and similar

What growth means
More consults for high-value procedures, and more referrals from other physicians.
How patients find you
Weeks of condition and treatment research, then a search for a specialist, often after a referral.
What we build first
Procedure and condition pages, provider profiles, a page for referring physicians, and Google Ads for consults.
Watch out for
Medical claims need sources and clinician review, and long decisions need follow-up.
What we report
Consults booked by procedure and by referral source.
Ask about a plan for specialists

Behavioral health

Therapy, psychiatry, counseling and addiction treatment

What growth means
Full caseloads for each clinician, with clients who fit their specialty and your insurance panels.
How patients find you
Private searches, therapist directories and insurance checks, often late at night.
What we build first
A page for each clinician and service, insurance and fees spelled out, and a short, private intake form.
Watch out for
Addiction treatment ads need certification, remarketing isn't allowed, and wording must avoid stigma.
What we report
Intake calls and booked first sessions by clinician.

Patient journey

Where new patients get lost, and what we fix

Clicks don't help if calls go to voicemail or booking takes too many steps. We look at every step from the first search to the first visit.

  1. 1They search

Where it leaksYour practice doesn't show for the service, condition or area.

What we fixPages, listings and ads for each service line and location.

  2. 2They compare

Where it leaksFew or old reviews, and no insurance or price details.

What we fixA steady flow of genuine reviews, and the details patients check first.

  3. 3They visit your site

Where it leaksSlow pages, and no booking button on a phone.

What we fixFast pages with tap-to-call and online booking at the top.

  4. 4They call or fill in a form

Where it leaksCalls go to voicemail at busy times, and forms wait until tomorrow.

What we fixMissed-call alerts, quick callbacks, and ads that run only when someone can answer.

  5. 5They book

Where it leaksNobody knows which channel brought the booking.

What we fixBooking confirmations and call outcomes tracked by source.

  6. 6They show up

Where it leaksNo-shows waste the appointment you paid to fill.

What we fixReminders checked in your scheduling system, and no-show rates in your report where it shares them.

Behavioral health

Marketing for mental health and behavioral health practices

People looking for therapy or treatment are often anxious and private. Marketing has to feel safe, follow stricter ad rules and help each person find the right clinician.

  • Words that reduce stigma

Plain, person-first language and calm calls to action. No fear-based claims and no promised outcomes.

  • Fit before volume

A page for each clinician with specialties, approaches, insurance and fees, so the right clients book the right person.

  • Directories and search together

Psychology Today, insurer directories and your Business Profile kept current alongside your own site.

  • Privacy at every step

No ad or analytics tags on intake forms, and nothing in URLs or tracking that reveals a condition.

Crisis information in view

Pages that mention crisis or self-harm show the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline and emergency guidance, and never ask someone in crisis to fill in a form first.

Is your website sending patient data where it shouldn't?

Many practice websites still run tracking that was set up for retail. Tick anything that applies to your site, or that you're not sure about.

FAQ

Questions about healthcare marketing

Something else? Ask us directly and we'll answer it in our reply.

What kinds of healthcare practices do you work with?

Clinics such as primary care, urgent care, family medicine and multi-location groups; specialist practices such as orthopedics, dermatology, cardiology and pain management; and behavioral health practices, including therapy, psychiatry and counseling. We also work with addiction treatment providers that hold the certification Google requires to advertise.

Is your marketing HIPAA-compliant?

HIPAA applies to your practice and to vendors that handle patient information for you. We design marketing so patient details stay out of ad platforms and analytics: no condition names in URLs or events, no ad pixels on intake, booking or portal pages, and tools that sign a business associate agreement (BAA) wherever patient data is involved. We also flag risks we find in your current setup.

Can you advertise mental health and addiction treatment services?

Yes, within each platform's rules. Mental health services can run on Google Ads without remarketing or customer-list audiences. In the US, addiction treatment ads need LegitScript certification and then Google certification before they can run, and sober homes and referral agencies aren't eligible. We check eligibility before planning campaigns.

How do you track new patients, not just leads?

We track calls by campaign and location, online bookings at their confirmation step, and form submissions. Where your practice management system or CRM allows, booked and attended appointments are sent back to Google Ads as a status only, with no clinical details.

How can we get more Google reviews?

Ask every patient the same way after their visit, by text or email, with a direct link to your profile. Don't offer incentives or filter out unhappy patients first: Google's policies and the FTC's 2024 rule on reviews both prohibit those practices. Replies should thank people without confirming that they are a patient.

Who writes and reviews medical content?

Our writers research and draft the content from current sources, and a clinician from your practice reviews and approves every medical page before it goes live. Pages show the reviewer and the review date.

We have several locations. How do you handle that?

Each location gets its own Business Profile, location page and tracking, and Google Ads budgets can follow demand at each site. Your report shows booked appointments, calls and reviews by location.

How long before we see more patients?

Google Ads can bring calls and bookings within weeks of launch. Local SEO and reviews usually build over a few months, and new service-line pages take longer to rank. Your monthly report shows progress at each stage.
